Ziggurat – join CLOCS on a cycling adventure

29 April 2019

CLOCS is all about taking positive action – and some CLOCS Champions are going the extra mile (well 326 miles actually!) to raise funds for Action Medical Research, which this year is focusing efforts to prevent premature births in its ‘Born Too Soon’ campaign.

CLOCS and SECBE are proudly supporting this ride, with a team that includes Adrian Wanford (Balfour Beatty), Malcolm Clarke (Baxall Construction), Dominic Day (Day Aggregates), John Staves (Michael Aubrey), Derek Rees (SECBE), and Mike Heptonstall (Turner & Townsend). About 70 people, all from the built environment sector, are registered to each raise at least £1,800 for the charity and to cover all costs of the ride. Despite neither previously being a cyclist, Derek and Malcolm rode Ziggurat last year, raising £6,000 between them.

Please join the CLOCS/SECBE team or ride as an individual – all monies go to a great cause and you’ll have a brilliant time (really!).

Action Medical Research’s ‘Born Too Soon’ campaign helps fund potentially life-saving research to help end the devastation caused by premature birth.
