Suffer a little so little ones can live

4 October 2018

55 people from numerous construction companies cycled together from London to Brussels in September to raise over £150,000 for Action Medical Research, a charity leading work to prevent premature births, help children with heart conditions and much more.

Many of the riders were from CLOCS Champion organisations including SECBE, Willmott Dixon and Day Group. Derek Rees, CLOCS programme director completed the ride despite never cycling more than 8 miles before signing up for the 2018 challenge.

He said “Working together for such a good cause was brilliant fun, helped by the incredible camaraderie, great weather and cold beer! It was so worthwhile that CLOCS is pulling together a team of riders or novices who want to do their part in raising money for the charity by riding from London to the French battlefields next September.”
