FORS Security training wins national award

27 March 2019

The FORS Security and Counter Terrorism and eLearning module has gained national recognition for raising awareness of security and terrorist threats, specifically in terms of theft of vehicles or loads and the use of vehicles as weapons, winning the Counter Terrorism Education Project Award at the 2019 Counter Terrorism Awards.

The eLearning module, which was developed in response to the rise of commercial vehicles used in terrorist-related incidents, has been completed by over 53,500 individuals since its launch in January 2018.

Under FORS Bronze accreditation, drivers must undertake the FORS Security and Counter Terrorism eLearning every 24 months. Although primarily aimed at drivers, managers are also encouraged to undertake this important eLearning module, which is free to access for all FORS members.
