CLP training – claim your funded place

30 January 2020

New benefits for 2020 membership include one funded space per year on CLOCS CLP (Construction Logistic Planning) training, with concessions available for colleagues.

CLOCS has been delivering CLP training for just four months and we have already trained almost 150 individuals working across the Built Environment sector encompassing local authority planners,  logistics professionals, developers and consultants, principal contractors and the supply chain.

Now with new courses opening in London, Manchester and Birmingham, CLOCS Champions are invited to join the ‘Waiting Register’ to claim a free place.

CLOCS CLP courses are intentionally comprised of a good mix of professionals to ensure that the shared experience and best practice discussions are as meaningful and as relevant as possible.

What have recent delegates found most useful?

  • “…the detailed discussions about what should go in a CLP, particularly the local site constraints of planning”
  • “…receiving more information on required compliances and improvements that can be made…”
  • “…the CLP step-by-step process and the importance of a detailed CLP…”

Sir Robert McAlpine – first CLOCS Champion to organise Construction Logistics Plan (CLP) training inhouse.

When CLOCS launched their CLP training programme in October, SRM were quick to spot an opportunity to upskill their teams to better understand the purpose and methodology of CLPs. Running two Foundation courses on the 28th November and 5th of December they invited their supply chain and offered free places to local authorities. It’s important to include a mixed audience in training sessions to help delegates gain a better understanding of Construction LogisticsPlanning from all perspectives and to help efficiently prepare and assess more consistent, simplified CLPs.

“At SRM we recognise our responsibilities in relation to all aspects of safety, sustainability, health, environment and we aim for excellence in all areas of our operations. That means innovating and collaborating to drive improved performance and deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients, our projects, our people and partners, and the wider community”.  Willem Fourie, Health & Safety Advisor, Sir Robert McAlpine

They have now booked a further 3 dates.
