The third FORS Members’ Conference was held on the 16th of October. As significant partners, CLOCS presented to a packed hall of 450 delegates and took part in a day of dynamic presentations and lively interactive debate.
Chaired by renowned transport industry expert, Brian Weatherley, the conference explored ‘10 years of Evolving Best Practice’ and launched FORS latest Standard, version 5, outlining requirements operators must meet if they wish to attain and retain FORS accreditation.
The revised edition of the FORS Standard addresses the need for air quality improvements and sets out requirements to help operators mitigate threats of terrorism. It reflects FORS’s continuous evolution, with the inclusion of a wider range of operations and vehicles, including powered two-wheelers, and new requirements for bus and coach operators.
The CLOCS Standard requires fleet operators to ensure all vehicle operations meet the requirements as described as Silver in the FORS Standard and requires fleet operators to provide acceptable evidence (as defined by each procurer) to demonstrate that requirements have been met.
FORS and CLOCS work together, to keep compliance simple. If you work in the construction industry and operate vehicles, FORS Silver accreditation will ensure you are CLOCS compliant.
