Both the South East Wales Highways Framework (SEWHF) and the South and Mid Wales Collaborative Construction Framework (SEWSCAP) have embedded CLOCS into their requirements for 2019.
Organisations winning work through the SEWHF will need to be compliant from January ’19, and those delivering projects through the SEWSCAP need to be compliant from May ’19. Vale of Glamorgan has raced ahead by including CLOCS in the requirements for 3 capital projects; the successful contractor was appointed last week.
Pre-qualification questions ask suppliers to provide evidence of managing and minimising work related road risks and to provide copies of policies/processes; in assessing pre-qual responses, only companies demonstrating CLOCS compliance can score top marks.
