Achievements: How CLOCS is adding value to the industry

1 October 2020

The CLOCS team has been working hard over the past year to raise safety standards and add value to our industry. Find out what we have achieved with the support of CLOCS Champions and, importantly, about some of our plans for the future:

Regional roll-out of CLOCS

  • Investment secured from Transport for Greater Manchester and with formal CLOCS launch in October 19
  • Regional events in Liverpool, Cardiff & Birmingham
  • Cardiff City engaged
  • Liverpool City engaged
  • CLOCS Works campaign, including production of new video

Increased partnership working with five top professional institutions and trade bodies: RTPI, CIOB, ICE, APS and Build UK

Construction Logistics Planning – CLOCS training developed with a trained team + adapted online training now available

CLOCS site monitoring – new regime introduced, including self-assessment which is proving very useful for internal measurement and benchmarking

CLOCS Vox app – for monitoring of site logistic standards – giving drivers and fleet operators a voice

CLOCS Site Access Traffic Marshal training – competency framework developed, and training providers approved and published on the CLOCS website.

CLOCS portal further developed: better platform for implementation planning and exclusive CLOCS Champion resources

All CLOCS guides and resources extensively updated

AND THERE’S MORE IN THE PIPELINE

  • Site Gate Check App
  • Regular webinars ‘learning from collision investigations’
  • ‘How to’ videos – learning from other champions how various elements of implementation have been achieved
  • Continued campaigning across the UK with emphasis on lobbying planners and procurers

We try to have regular conversations with all our members, and we do take on board your feedback. Please do get in touch with all your ‘burning ideas’.  Email: support@clocs.org.uk
